The library is open to the public by agreement. No loans.
Our library is an ethnographic and anthropological reference library for non-European cultures. There is, among other things, a large collection of exhibition catalogues from other museums of ethnography. There are furthermore 450 serial ethnographic and anthropological journals, many not otherwise available in Sweden, and unique book donations that are of great importance to the museum's field of activities. Sigvald Linné's book collection on archaeological and pre-Columbian art is of specific interest and noteworthy as well as Björn Strand's collection on North American Indians. The main body of the library's literature focuses on books that describe and explain ethnographic objects in use.
